More problems

Alright, so the LNI that dad was suposed to be getting (even though they were only going to give him 60% for half the days he was gone, because apparently the paperwork wasn't in on time for them to cover all the days he was out of work), has officially just been flushed down the drain. One of the higher-ups in my dad's company called to let him know that the request had been denied. Dad called the acting president of the company (they've been on friendly terms for a while now), Kevin, and tried to ask him to get it through. Kevin blew my dad off. My father has been working for them for 14 years and they've never officially recognized him as the best they've got (though they've said it before themselves), they've given him the run-around on more than just this, and they've blown off his request for help because of an injury he got while practically killing himself for them.

As you can see, no one is very happy about this. We're getting really close to losing everything. Don't stop praying for us now!

*shrugs* At this point, I have no idea. Mom seems to be keeping it together at least fairly well, she's been juggling what can be paid and what can be put off around again, and there's food on the table for the time being. A friend of mine was cleaning out her freezer while we were over yesterday for a dinner thing, and she sent a whole bunch of meat home with us that she doesn't think she'll need, so now we really just need to keep up on the things that go with it. Unfortunately, payday has come and gone and we're already at the point of having nothing left to keep things in the house (or to even remotely do anything during the last few days of mom and dad's vacation--not even a day trip anywhere because we have no extra money for gas). Next payday isn't for another week, and it's highly unlikely that they'll be anything extra from that either to do more than get milk and bread in the house, with maybe a few other things too before this whole thing starts all over again.

Grrr.
